Save The Rails - Our Community Initiative to Support Real Railways
Fellow train enthusiasts, welcome to Save The Rails – our long-term charity initiative that connects the world of TrainStation with real historic railways that need support.
As a studio full of train lovers, we believe railways are more than machines – they are engineering treasures, cultural heritage, and living history worth protecting. That’s why we created Save The Rails: a way for our players to help preserve real railways directly through our games.
How Save The Rails Works
In selected seasons, we team up with a real heritage railway and create a special charity pack in our mobile games TrainStation 2 and TrainStation 3.
These packs include a unique, historically inspired locomotive available only during the event.
When players purchase the charity pack:

they collect an exclusive in-game train, and
-
100% of the proceeds are donated to the featured heritage railway to support restoration, operations, and community projects.
It’s a simple mechanic with real impact – play, collect, and help keep railway history alive.
Save The Rails #1 – Čierny Hron Railway (Slovakia)
Our first season supported the Čierny Hron Railway, a beautiful narrow-gauge line in Central Europe. With the help of our amazing community, we were able to contribute to preservation work and raise awareness for this unique railway.
Thanks to thousands of passionate players who answered the call, we raised an incredible 15 373€/ 17 428$ to support Čierny Hron Railway!

Save The Rails #2 – Lynton & Barnstaple Railway (United Kingdom)
In the second season, we partnered with the legendary Lynton & Barnstaple Railway in North Devon, UK.
Players collected the rebuilt narrow-gauge Baldwin E762 Lyn locomotive, and all proceeds helped support their volunteers, maintenance work, and ongoing restoration of the historic line.
