Save the Rails Returns: Supporting the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad Museum
After supporting the Čierny Hron Railway in Slovakia and the Lynton & Barnstaple Railway in the United Kingdom, we’re excited to announce our newest partnership with the historic B&O Railroad Museum in USA.
As train lovers ourselves, we created Save The Rails to connect our games with real railway preservation projects around the world. This season, TrainStation players will have the opportunity to support one of America’s most important railway institutions while adding a truly unique locomotive to their collections.

About the B&O Railroad Museum
Located in Baltimore, Maryland, the B&O Railroad Museum preserves the legacy of the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad, America’s first commercial railroad.
The museum is located on the historic grounds of the B&O Railroad and is the birthplace of American railroading. It is home to one of the world’s most significant collections of historic locomotives, rolling stock, and railway artifacts. Through restoration, education, exhibitions, and special events, the museum tells the story of American railroading for all generations.
Its mission goes far beyond displaying trains – it preserves a key part of American industrial, technological, and cultural history.

Meet the American Freedom Train No. 1
This season’s Charity Pack features the legendary American Freedom Train No. 1 locomotive.
Created for America’s Bicentennial celebrations, the American Freedom Train became a traveling symbol of national history and railway heritage. Today, American Freedom Train No. 1 (AFT#1) locomotive is preserved at the B&O Railroad Museum, where visitors can experience this remarkable piece of railroad history up close.
Our artists recreated the locomotive specifically for TrainStation games, carefully modeling it after the real locomotive preserved in Baltimore. This means players can add an authentic in-game version of this historic locomotive to their collections – and keep it forever.

- Complete the tutorial and reach Level 12.
- Between July 1 and July 7, you’ll see the special Charity Pack.
- Purchase the pack and add the American Freedom Train No. 1 locomotive to your collection permanently.

- Download and play TrainStation 3: https://pxfd.co/bgd
- Progress to Year 1935.
- Between July 5 and July 7, you’ll unlock access to the special Charity Pack.
- Purchase the pack and permanently add the American Freedom Train No. 1 locomotive to your collection.
Once the campaign ends, we’ll publish the final results and donate all proceeds from the Charity Packs directly to the B&O Railroad Museum.
