In the deep forests of Central Europe, a story unfolds—one written by the wheels of a historic railway. This is the story of the Čierny Hron Railway, a narrow-gauge gem founded in 1908.
HISTORY
Originally built to transport timber from the surrounding villages, it once stretched an impressive 132 kilometers.
TODAY
Today, it is more than just a relic of the past—it is a living, breathing museum. Its tracks, now spanning 19 kilometers, wind through picturesque villages and tranquil valleys, where time seems to slow down.
COMMUNITY
The Čierny Hron Railway operates as a non-profit organization, led by the Bílek family. Without their unwavering commitment, both the railway and its locomotives might have been lost to history.
MISSION COMPLETE
Our mission was clear—to keep the railway alive! Thanks to your incredible support, we raised 15 373€/ 17 428$ for the Čierny Hron Railway. Thousands of passionate players joined the Save The Rails initiative, helping preserve a real historic railway for future generations.
