From Game to Reality – Supporting Historic Railways with TrainStation 2

We are proud to introduce Save the Rails, a new initiative by TrainStation 2 dedicated to supporting the preservation of historic railways around the world. As passionate train enthusiasts, we understand the importance of protecting railway heritage—ensuring that these extraordinary tracks and trains continue to inspire and operate for future generations.

Our first project under Save the Rails will support the Čierny Hron Railway, a historic narrow-gauge line in Central Europe. With roots dating back to the early 20th century, this railway stands as a valuable piece of industrial and cultural history. Like many heritage lines, however, it requires ongoing maintenance and restoration to remain operational.

To support this cause, TrainStation 2 players are able to purchase a special in-game charity pack, featuring the exclusive Kolbenka locomotive—modeled after a real engine still running on the Čierny Hron Railway. 100% of the revenue generated from this pack will be donated directly to the railway to support its upkeep and preservation.

This initiative will run from April 14 to April 27, 2025, giving our community a chance to make a real-world impact through their in-game participation.
